Monster Veggies

This is what happens when you are not paying close enough attention to your vegetables...

15 inches in diameter and 6 inches long, no idea how much it weighs.

I honestly thought the leaves were part of my salad green mix...then I saw the base of the plant...

this heirloom carrot defies description....15 inches in diameter and over 6 inches long, with lots of little carrot runners.  the smaller carrots taste good....a little afraid to actually eat the large carrot, though.

a small note to self, when the veggies start to look like bushes, it's probably a good time to dig them up...except for the tomatoes, let the tomatoes continue to grow.
